No modifications have been made to this contract.
  • All Terms & Conditions contained in the IFB for MC13-G11, the bidder's response to the IFB and subsequent negotiation shall carry forward to this contract in their entirety without exceptions.
  • If provided by the bidder, specific details and instructions pertaining to each awarded contractor and their brands, products or services will be located following the pricing pages for each individual contractor.
  • Suppliers must make every effort to determine if purchasers are MHEC members and extend the MHEC pricing and any benefits. Any customer who meets the MHEC criteria for membership must be afforded the opportunity to join the MHEC prior to finalizing the sale.
  • Use of the contract is left to the discretion of each respective member of the MHEC. No guarantee of volume has been made to the contract holder(s).
  • There are many manufacturers awarded directly on this contract. This allows the MHEC to obtain the best possible price for our members. Manufacturers have identified relevant installation costs and listed their authorized dealers who can perform the product install. The payment and purchase order transaction goes through the dealer in this scenario. The dealer then reports this information back to the manufacturer to track the MHEC contract spend.
  • The contractor will ship and bill the material requested on each purchase order directly to the respective member organization.
  • If your organization has its own installation staff and purchases in large volumes, many manufacturers will work with your organization to deliver directly rather than via dealer. This may result in additional discounts or savings. Please contact the primary representative for the manufacturer to inquire.
  • Installation for state entities was bid utilizing Massachusetts prevailing wage rates. Wage rates should be provided to the supplier by the purchasing entity at the time of the project. MHEC has provided rates as a guide but suppliers are still required to request updated rates from the respective purchasing entity.
  • Please be sure to request a certificate of insurance for any work being performed.
  • Suppliers have signed the MA Commonwealth Terms and Conditions and Standard Contract form. Please request a copy from the MHEC if needed. It is also recommended that state entities obtain their own signed agreements.
